Ever have a speechless moment?

I did, recently, when I walked into our daycare to pick up the Wee Beasts.

Dress Up takes on a whole new meaning when this is what the end result is:

Gimme a B!

Gimme an I!

Gimme a G!

Gimme an A!

What’s that spell?

BIG A!

Rah rah rah.

Actually, the outfit was better when I first walked it. At that time, the sandals were replaced with white high heeled boots. But by the time I was able to snap a pic, Big A had started “transforming” back into himself.

Cheerleader Barbie, look out. You have some competition.

We are fortunate to have a great family fun spot here in Kansas City: Science City at Union Station. It’s part museum, part interactive science exhibit and play area.

The wee beasts love going to see things here. They always have some vintage firetrucks on display, which is perfect for Big A. He loves firemen, firetrucks, fireman uniforms, and more. Little A is very into trains. Very. Like it’s his obsession. They also have a model train exhibit with all different sizes of tracks, trains, realistic settings and the fabulous Thomas and Friends.

But we recently went to see…dinosaurs!  GRRRRRROOOOOOWWWWWLLLLLL.

It’s kept pretty dark and ominous inside. There are loud sound effects everywhere. And you can push buttons to control the animatronic dinos. We had a long talk on the drive to the exhibit about how they are just big robots and there is nothing to be afraid of. Both beasts said they would be brave and were ready for their adventure.

But would you be brave if you saw this roaring above your head?

I don’t think so.

If you were only, three feet tall, would you care that this dinosaur is a vegetarian and doesn’t eat little boys?

If you were holding a cute little stuffed triceratops who was going to be your new sleepy friend, would this triceratops intimidate you?

Yep, that’s what I thought. Here are some of the other Thunder Lizards we saw.

ROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRR!

What do you do when you are three years old, have a slow-melt popsicle, but need to take a bath?

Get creative, of course!
