Ok, after a couple of busy, unorganized weeks, we are back on track. I actually sat down and picked a few menu items, made it to the store, and we should be all set for the week.
Actually, let me clarify.
The Doc saw pictures of food and decided they should be on the menu for the week. I was flipping through the new May issue of Rachel Ray’s magazine, and he pointed and said “That. I want that. And that.”
So, here’s this week’s gameplan:
- Orechiette with Sweet Italian Sausage — a pasta dish made with Marscapone cheese!
- Chicken Satay Lettuce Wraps with mixed veggies
- Sicilian Tuna and Potato Salad
- Skirt Steak with Garlic-Ginger Noodles and an Asian slaw on the side
Oh, and I also made the Tomato Soup Cake recipe PW recently wrote about. The wee beasts love it. The Doc knew what was in it before I made it so getting him to put a bite in his mouth was almost impossible. Since he’s afraid of it, there’s more for me and the boys.
Yea, because it’s deeeeeeeeeee-licious!
